Commissions

Commissions are entertained on an ongoing basis. A deposit of approximately 50% is required.

The price structure generally follows a price per square inch method, and may vary to reflect how developed or complex a painting is. Generally, artwork is sold “ready to hang” and may or may not include a frame depending on materials used, and details discussed in our initial consultation.

Special considerations such as size, colours, and style, can be discussed at the beginning of the commission, as well after the early stages of the work have begun.

We are not able to accept deadlines for finished paintings, but do our best to get the commissions to you in a timely manner. On occasion, a deadline will be agreed upon for preliminary sketches.

While I work both from life and from photographs, I may use your photographs*, or I may want to source them myself, or take my own.

When the artwork is done, you have the first opportunity of purchase, and the final price will be given to you then, any quotes given prior to this serve as an estimate and are subject to change to reflect the work and expenses. When the painting(s) become(s) available, you have 30 days to complete the purchase of your painting, or it becomes the property of the artist**, unless arrangements are made.

A lot of work is put into making the best possible painting for you, please be patient, allow for the time it takes. Deposits are non-refundable, unless the commission is cancelled by the artist before preliminary sketches are done.
